Message from the CEO
Thank you for taking the time to read the first edition of our quarterly newsletter. At Precision, our mission is simple: to improve the treatment outcomes of patients living with cancer. To that end, we strive to provide a quality product and excellent customer service. We also recognize the importance of clinical
trials and remain committed to performing robust, well-designed studies for biomarker validation. Our partnerships with leading cancer organizations and renowned experts in the field allow us to pursue our goal of making Precision’s clinical validation program second to none. We hope that this newsletter will provide you with valuable information and open the lines of communication between Precision and our customers. In addition to the existing 25+ anti-cancer agents available, several other drugs have recently passed our rigorous quality assurance procedures and are now offered for testing with ChemoFx:
- Altretamine (Hexalen®) is used in patients with persistent or recurrent ovarian cancer.
- Bleomycin (Blenoxane®) is indicated for testicular cancer and squamous cell carcinomas
of the head & neck and the male and female reproductive systems.
- Erlotinib (Tarceva®) is used in many settings, including advanced lung and pancreatic cancers. This is the first biologic agent offered for testing by Precision, with many more to come.
Precision appreciates the work of everyone involved in our clinical studies program. Below is an overview of our current gynecologic studies:
- The ChemoFx Observational Study examines the outcomes of patients with gynecologic malignancies who have had the ChemoFx Assay performed. To date, 152 patients have been enrolled from 14 facilities. Interested physicians are encouraged to contact us at observationalstudy@ptilabs.com.
- The 301 Trial is a prospective study designed to determine the accuracy of ChemoFx prediction in patients with Stage II-IV recurrent ovarian, peritoneal, or fallopian tube cancer. 239 patients have been enrolled; accrual is expected to be complete in 2009.

Reimbursement News
Reimbursement is a critical issue for physicians and patients. ChemoFx is covered by Medicare Part B and has been reimbursed by over 400 commercial insurance companies. We are also pleased to announce new contracts with leading organizations including SEIBA, NPPN, RMSCO and PCA. These new contracts expand our number of covered lives and offer faster payment for our test.
