Precision Therapeutics Hires Matt Marshall as Vice President
Health care technology veteran will oversee sales, marketing

PITTSBURGH, May 7, 2007 — Precision Therapeutics Inc., a leader in the development of individualized cancer treatment support tools, has named Matt Marshall as the company’s new vice president of sales and marketing.

Precision’s ChemoFx® Assay assesses a patient’s response to chemotherapy through testing their living cancer cells.

“The assay represents a wonderful opportunity to help people at a critical time in their life,” said Marshall, a 22-year health care technology sales veteran. “Precision Therapeutics is on the cutting edge of health care technology. I’m excited to be able to contribute to its ongoing success.”

The initial focus for Marshall will be the expansion of the national sales team. The increased sales and marketing effort follows Precision Therapeutics’ most recent, $20 million round of venture capital funding.

“Matt brings significant health care sales and marketing experience to Precision Therapeutics,” said Sean McDonald, president and CEO. “He is a high-energy, passionate team leader. We are excited to have him on board.”

Most recently, Marshall served as McKesson Corporation’s senior vice president of sales. In that role, he led a team of more than 500 people to a 95 percent increase in new sales.
In 1985, Marshall joined Automated Healthcare as the Vice President of Sales. Automated Healthcare became the market leader in Pharmacy Robotic Automation. The company was sold to McKesson in 1996 and now employs over 1000 people in the greater Pittsburgh area.
