Sarcoma Cancer

Sarcoma
There are two types of sarcoma: osteosarcoma, which develops from bone, and soft tissue sarcomas.   Soft tissue sarcoma can form in muscle, blood vessels, fat, fibrous tissue or other supporting tissues.  Sarcoma can be found in any part of the body, but most sarcomas develop in the arms or legs.  Sarcomas are uncommon tumors and are often referred to as carcinomas.  The cause is unknown, but researchers have identified several factors that increase the likelihood of the disease including external radiation therapy and chemicals in the workplace.
